Checkpoint Solutions (as Argent Health and Safety) was established in 2006 with the goal of ensuring customer safety in the travel industry. We have maintained our position as the UK’s largest dedicated consultancy for health & safety advice and auditing for the travel industry.

Checkpoint works with some of the world’s largest travel businesses, from traditional tour operators through to global online businesses. We conduct auditing activity in accordance with their Safety Management Systems (SMS), and give them the data to effectively demonstrate a consistent and structured approach to the Health and Safety of their customers. 


To carry out Safety Audits and or risk assessments and follow ups at accommodation units to include, fire, food, general, child and swimming pool safety audits. Completing audits and or risk assessments as required by Checkpoint Clients, of transport, aviation, marine and excursion providers, in locations abroad.


  • Actively implement the Checkpoint due diligence auditing programme in abroad locations, on a peripatetic basis. Carrying out inspections, assessments, audits and major incident investigations as directed;
  • To complete audits and / or risk assessments, hygiene audits and follow ups on properties overseas negotiate the defects and update Checkpoint.
  • To complete audits and / or risk assessments and follow ups on transport, excursion, aviation and marine suppliers overseas, negotiate the defects and update Checkpoint.
  • To complete monthly management information reports.
  • To risk manage or escalate any issues for management or consultant advice as required
  • Ensure health & safety incidents are appropriately investigated, followed up and any issues are closed out to prevent re-occurrence
  • To deliver H&S awareness training courses to resort staff as required.
  • Attend any relevant in-house and external health and safety professional courses in order to keep abreast of latest developments, including environmental auditing
  • Be aware of local legislation relating to health & safety within the area you are working it at the time.
  • Ensure compliance with published internal procedures
  • Provide support, advice and guidance on request on behalf of clients.
  • To organise workload and time to ensure maximum efficiency
  • Meet productivity target in line with internal requirements.
  • Undertake any additional duties as may be assigned from time to time.



· Proven ability to work in a team environment and alone.

· A friendly, positive and professional approach with a genuine desire to provide a first-class service

· Good geographical and travel knowledge

· Relevant qualifications in Fire Safety, food and Hygiene Safety


· Ability to communicate in a foreign language
